These wide plastic pegs will easily cope with rather soft tent meadows and mixed forest floors, where the odd stone or root may be hiding, and will hold your tent securely in the wind. For most applications, tent pegs do not necessarily have to be made of metal. Here a wide cross-section is required, which would make metal pegs very heavy. The lightweight plastic pegs therefore have a larger anchoring surface than ground pegs or pegs made of metal. And if a herring does bend on a rock or root, you can straighten it out again after a bath in boiling water. In addition, plastic does not rust and the pegs are easy to find with their colour.
